Perspex in the 1960s

As the second part of task 2, I researched the cultural and historical aspects of perspex. I discovered that there was a lot of perspex used in the 1960s to convey a futuristic/space age trend. I think this was due to the rise in sci-fi films like Barbarella in 1968.

Many editorial covers were produced during the 60s using perspex space helmets or jewellery.
